Always be growing

Always be growing

Never get complacent! Consistency is key. Most people don't realize that showing up is half the battle. Making the scheduled phone calls, attending the meetings, and keeping up with your weekly routine are all part of the groundwork. It's important to recognize this as a major part of your ongoing success and thought pattern. Most people, no matter how talented they are, lack the mental discipline to be constantly consistent which is why you should always make a conscious effort to do what is absolutely necessary to succeed. Figure out your comfort level and give yourself high goals to meet every single week. These can change and evolve as long as you're always showing improvement and results throughout the year.

Mental focus and clarity are essential to your progress so make sure you do things that will keep you focused, refreshed and motivated on a daily basis. Things like support from your friends, family, self-help books, YouTube videos and working on your physical & mental health will all contribute to accomplishing your overall goals. These things will also inspire you to stay on track and elevate yourself to a higher purpose. They are necessary to stay self-motivated and grow to the person you wish to become. Practicing on building your confidence and communication skills are also key to improving yourself. We will be launching a mentorship program to help those that wish to improve their confidence level, self esteem and improve their communication skills. These skills can translate through a myriad of industries, help you land other opportunities and help you achieve your goals without letting anything stand in your way.

Sometimes it can be difficult to stay on course and you might slip here and there depending on the day or week. There is nothing wrong with having a bad day or even a bad month. You just don't want to fall in a situation of underperformance or stay unmotivated for too long as this can cause unintended consequences in work and ultimately your path to success. Life and work go up and down, the key is to maintain and constantly nurture your personal and professional life. In the end, know that everything will work out if you persevere and keep working on perfecting your craft. The more time you invest into your work and career the higher the payoff. You are gaining knowledge, experience and most of all adding value to yourself in the marketplace. This course is just a springboard for the rest of your amazing journey. As a recruiter, you are gaining invaluable skills that encompass aspects of marketing, sales, and digital media all at once. You can carry over these skills to multiple industries and positions across the globe.

As long as you're able to communicate your knowledge and experience across in a coherent, intelligent and confident way you will be able to acquire almost any opportunity with this foundation. This is why it's important to grow your network of relationships early on so you can grow your chances of career advancement whether it's in recruitment or anywhere else in the digital space for that matter. These key relationships and mentors are key to growing your career so choose wisely. They should possess the knowledge, experience and track record under their belt to make a significant impact on your future thought process. They should have a positive mindset, energy and sound advice so make sure you choose people who will elevate your career to the next level. You don't want someone who might bring you down or give you bad advice. No matter the advice, make sure you always make decisions based on your own personal choices and the best interest of your career and your future.

Another way to keep yourself consistently growing is by keeping up with all the relevant technology that comes out. You must remain the absolute expert with everything recruiting and technology. The better the technology, the easier your life will be. Keep educating yourself on new industry trends, tools and other sources to keep your mind sharp and in touch with what’s going on in your industry. If you get hired as a recruiter, keep your eyes open for advancement. Once you get your foot in the door especially without a degree, focus on how you can add more value to your company. Perhaps there is a management role or another position that you feel like you would be a great fit for and now you can pursue it because you’re entrenched in the company. Now that you’ve proven yourself, the college degree is no longer a topic of conversation. You as an individual bring the most value, not a piece of paper so make sure you surpass expectations and always under promise and over deliver. Once you’ve demonstrated that you’re a superstar they won't ever want to let you go. The key is to always be growing and surpass all expectations you had from day one!
